Rotary Halloween Parade is Cancelled

All - the CP Rotary Halloween parade scheduled for Oct 27th has been cancelled given the weather.

New Board Positions

At the October League Meeting, several important board positions were filled.  New members include:

President - Ryan McNeill

Vice President - Rob deHaan

Secretary - Rob Piperno (continuing in role)

Director of Softball - Matt Asherman

Equipment - Tom Kuestner

We thank them for taking on these positions in helping the league continue to provide a great product for our kids.  We also thank Frank DiMaio for his leadership as President over the last 2 years and Denny Devitis for his efforts with equipment.

League Positions Requiring Help

Parents - the league could use assistance in a few areas should you be able to volunteer time.  If you are able to help, please reach out to and we will be glad to route to the correct place.

Softball Commissioners - we need commissioners to run several of the various divisions (scheduling, roster management, coordinating the field use, etc.).

Website - we could use 1-2 people to keep the content fresh, coordinate the registration activities, load rosters/schedules, and send league emails.

Snack Bar - Jason Detwiler will remain the snack stand coordinator, but we could use 3-4 people to help with managing the snack stands, coverage, open/close for the 2017 season.

Sponsorships - Lisa Plank will remain the sponsorship coordinator, but we could use 3-4 people to help solicit sponsorships for the league (signs, team sponsorships, website logos, golf outing, anything else...)

Golf Outing Coordinator - this is a major fundraiser for the league, and we could use someone to run the 2017 outing.

2016 Calendar Key Dates

Here are some of the key dates for the 2016 fall season:

Tentatively we would like to get practices going right after Labor Day, with games starting the Saturday September 10th.  We expect the games to end the last Saturday of October (29th), with field maintenance to occur the 1st Saturday of November.

For those not playing fall, expect Spring Registration to open by January 1st.

Fall Ball Registration Opens July 4
Fall Registration Closes August 26
Fall Ball Games Begin September 17
Fall Games End October 29
Fall Field Maintenance

November 12
