Dear CP Families -
We wanted to reach out again regarding the upcoming spring season. Obviously many things have happened since we last sent an email and that means we will not be able to start next weekend as originally targeted. The Board has been in communication with each other, as well as other local leagues, regularly throughout the last week. We are all working with the same information, limited as though it may be. Without a firm timeline for when normal activities can resume, we cannot comfortably put dates out there for when we might get to play ball again and what that structure might look like.
Please know that, as an organization, our goals are threefold right now: safety, communication and commitment. Our decisions are all driven by the idea that we want to resume our activities as soon as it is safe to do so. During this time we also believe that it is our duty to report back regularly regarding any updates we may have, or just to let you know that we are around and working behind the scenes to try and get us all back on the fields as soon as possible. Lastly, please know that we are committed to each of our CP families and giving them the best experience in 2020 that we can. What that looks like may be different this year, but our commitment to each of you is that we are going to do all that we can to get these kids playing once it is allowed.
Again, I know we don't have a lot of information to update at this time, but we will continue to communicate regularly and meet weekly as a Board so that we can evolve our plans and be ready to go as soon as possible.
In the coming days, keep an eye out on our Facebook page and website in order to see some fun things we'll be putting out there. We'll have drills that the kids can be working on while home, a "faces of CP" series to help you get to know some of the people you see around the complex all the time and other posts that you can share with the kids.
Again, we wish all our CP families the best and we can't wait to see everyone out on the fields soon!
Registration for Sponsorship Opportunities is now open. We have greatly simplified our opportunities for 2020, with each business/person registration at minimum getting their name on a team's jerseys.
On the home page of the registration is a complex listing of the opportunities, but opportunities include Team, Outfield Sign, Preferred Sign location, Scoreboard advertising, and Snack Bar naming.
Sponsorships are essential to running the CPYA league at a competitive price point for our families. The monies raised go directly into complex improvements each year to get the fields safe and looking great. They also help offset equipment and uniform costs. Thank you for considering!
The Spring Ford coaches want to invite CP players out on April 15th 7 PM for their game vs Perk Valley at Ram Stadium. This is a great chance to see high end high school baseball. CP players can go on the field with the jerseys ahead of the game for the national anthem. Be sure to hold the date!!
